Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.

Glorious!

I think we're only about a week ahead of you -- I am so grateful that it is finally spring.

Fully, gloriously spring, but why does it feel like summer? A special month as the upcoming long weekend marks our anniversary of moving here.

Yay! Glad spring has finally arrived in Montreal! Temperatures will still be all over the place, but the flowers and trees will bloom with the longer days. Enjoy! It's so been a long time coming. :-)

What an ecumenical address you cite. But then perhaps Stanislaus was inevitable. Saint Stan would have always felt himself two steps behind in a parade of the Heavenly Hosts. Is the observation The Sun Shines On The Righteous operative in Canada? If so, don't let it get you down. You have other qualities.

Beautiful spring!
