We just got back from seeing the recently released documentary about Enron, The Smartest Guys in the Room - and I've got to tell you, not only was it an excellent documentary (far better, in my opinion, than Fahrenheit 9/11), but it goes further than anything I've seen toward revealing the aggressively Darwinian corporate culture and intense greed that fueled this American business, as well as exposing the increasingly blurred lines between corporations, government, entertainment, and the financial system, all happy to ride on the magic carpet while the money was being made.
The most descriptive word that I could utter - repeatedly, I'm afraid - after the movie was "disgusting". But the documentary itself is a very well-presented, well-researched, non-sensational look at some extremely smart and unsavory people and their despicable dealings which shafted many innocent workers, while enriching the folks at the very top, and assisting current national and California politicians to power. The story (and the profits) behind the California "rolling blackouts" alone were enough to leave me slack-jawed. See it and weep.
I have updated your link. This page downloads faster and reads better. Congratulations.
Silently, we keep reading.
Keep it up!

"See it and weep" ain't the most encouraging of recommendations for a film but I do find that seeing good political documentaries helps me feel sane in a world overflowing with clever half truths.
Well I am interested to see how you find TypePad. Wondering if you can import your old archives. I did that from Blogger to Movable Type and nearly had a k'niption doing it. (I don't really know how to spell this word). The site looks good.
