I wish I could show up!

Well, all the best, dear Beth. Busy days, to be sure, but I think they'll bring satisfactions with them, especially the satisfaction of having written this book, and now ushering it on its way into the world.

Wow, what an exciting time. I'll be following this one...

Beth, I so wish I could be there, sneaking up to you in the crowd waiting to have their copies signed. Bonne chance, ma chère, to you and to the Bishop. Excellent photo of him by Jon, catching him in serious thought.

Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.
