Pictures of snow!
How gorgeous!
Thank You

Well that's the only snow I've seen since last winter. Nice pics--the second photo's all Robert Frost, the last reminds me of Wallace Stevens or William Carlos Williams, different from each other as they are.

wow.

(o)

Gorgeous indeed. For some reason that last one particularly appeals to me, the bird with its beak slightly parted as if about to reveal the piece of information that will bring everything into focus.

And where is the damn snow? We want to go skiing, here in the Berkshires!

Oh, that beautiful cardinal. They remind me of my late grandfather, and always make me wistful.

Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.
