Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.

How wonderful that you have been a choir singer for years. Commitment shines through the years. I love this. Rising early on Sunday's has built something strong in your character!

Love the sketches.

Blessings.

I love this too, and it makes me wish I had made such a commitment. Ah well. I've moved around too much.

Lively sketches all. (I very much like the wash over line work. Nice effect!)

May you rest well for a bit after the rigors of the season (even if beloved) and may the next season be as sweet. :-)

Beth, I love these drawings and this post. Happy New Year!

Pamela
