How comforting that some things prevail, resisting the change that infects every area of our lives. French titres et annonces apart, this could have been the Granada Cinema in Kingston-upon-Thames to which my mother took me when I was 5-years old!

Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him.
