Lovely eggs, so unusual and striking in colour. And your plants look fantastic. Happy spring and preEaster week!

Oh Beth,
I so needed these photos to lift my spirit. The weather here is gloomy, but your pictures help remind me spring is just around the bend.

We wax-and-dye as well, though not this year--too much happening at once.

Flowers are a relief from the horrors of this strange, lingering winter. Outside the little bulbs are being brave. Inside my Christmas cactus is blooming for Easter, it seems.

This was lovely.

Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.
