A collection of color! Wonder-ful!

Happy day!

Even our local supermarket has loads of colorfully wrapped foodstuffs from Asia. Noodles and tentacles, as my husband says.

Yesterday I managed to repair most of my giant memory stick from Cambodia! So I now have lots of market pictures--though I lost some. So I am entirely in sympathy with being cheered up by bright markets.

Very colourful.

I think you'd love wandering among Indian markets with the camera back here.

Hi Magnolia -- yes, we really need color right now!
Hattie - your husband is clever, I like that!
Marly - that's good news! You will share some, yes?
Anil - thank you - one day maybe I will get to India, and I'm sure I would be bowled over by the colors there.

I do find Asian shops and supermarkets so tempting, not enough of them in this corner of France, unfortunately. But what are those snaky things in the 4th picture down?

Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.
