We got back to Montreal in mid-afternoon, unpacked, made some dinner, and went to pick up Manon from the generous friends who've been caring for her in our absence. Now, at 9:30 pm EST, which my body thinks is 3:30 am, I'm fading, but it's still too early to go to bed. So I am reading blogs and yawning, trying to stretch out the time before sleep at least another half hour...
See you tomorrow, with another installment of photos and stories from a most memorable trip. I can't quite imagine being back at work.
Hopefully you both got your deep dreamless slumber, that which knits up the ravelled sleeve of jet-lag!
Has Natalie sent you the pics she took at The Vines? There's one of you looking intelligently interested next to me looking rosily pissed.

In 1972 age 27 returned from a 3-month backpacking trip and walked into an insurance office where I'd been assigned as a temp, sat down at the keyboard and for a long moment wasn't sure I remembered how to type. I guess that couldn't happen today without enormous planning but maybe in the future we won't keyboard as much? ...she typed...
