Great pics, bringing back memories of my time in San Miguel de Allende when I wandered in the market, thrilled by the wonderfully bright colours and unbelievably low prices of cotton shirts and skirts. I bought several and wore them happily in Mexico. But when I got back home the magic vanished along with the bright colours which all ran in the wash. Says something about the fleeting nature of beauty?

Natalie, the dyes must be better now. I've been wearing my blouses with pleasure here this summer, and have noticed that the beautiful colors make people smile.

A friend notes that the signs on the sparkly dresses, "con chalina," mean "with scarf/shawl."

Shrink-wrapped Alice in Mexico. A strange sight.
