What beautiful images, Beth. Thank you for sharing them.

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by the profusion of pattern in this month too, but I'm grateful for abundance, even so.

Your gift sounds beautiful; pink and red in any application never fail to cheer me, too!

Thank you, Rachel and Duchesse! The season is overwhelming in a many ways, and I find that sitting down to draw helps me get a handle on that. And I love pink and red too!

Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.
