I can't stop looking at her face, Beth.

What a beautiful face.

Yes, a beautiful and intensely thoughtful face, Beth. I wish I'd known her. Inter?estingly, there's something Middle Eastern in her features (maybe it's just this photo)...and then you married into Jonathan's heritage.

Lovely drawing too.

There is much humor and joy in that face.

Lovely annual homage. She looks like your proper mother--so thoughtful-looking. And so 70's! The earring, the hair, the big collar. So fun to see.

Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.
