Wow! I can hardly wait to hear about your "epic" journey. That lava photo looks like it could have been taken on the Big Island! And those flowers: They are amazing!

So beautiful! I can't wait to hear and see more.

Fantastic, Beth. More please!

We were there last week, and were struck by many of the same plants, especially the Himalayan Gentiana farreri ! Will post on it soon.

Armfuls of beauteous blue gentiana for your birthday, Beth, and may your Icelandic re-visit be even more inspirational than the first time. I love the photos and that smile of Jonathan's lighting up the runway!

Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.
