Literally mind-blowing. Does anyone live right there, or within walking distance of that spot? Or would it be impossible?

Amazing photos, and the lovely writing makes it all the more vivid.

I would have thought these pictures were black and white but I know better now. Extraordinary. The kind of landscape from which you return a different and wiser person.

Amazing!

Made me think about Eric Ravilious, British war artist, lost off Iceland in an air incident in 1942.

Such wonders...

Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.
