Wow, wonderful colours. Is that a lantana shrub!? I've had lantanas as small house plants that go outdoors in the summer.

I've already stopped in at Instagram, but, I must say, it's so much more satisfying to see these photos on a screen larger than a phone. Wonderful color--just what's needed as I make my way through a very, very, cold, windy, winter day.

Thanks, Marja-Leena! Yes, it's a lantana. I have one too -- micro size compared to this. In fact, everywhere I go I see species I think of as houseplants grown to gigantic, tree-like proportions. It's pretty amazing.

Mary, you can also sign into Instagram on your computer using the same log-in and password. I do it often for exactly the reason you state here. You can't post except from your phone, but you can view and Like and Comment on the computer. Thanks for letting me know you like seeing the pictures larger. I agree!

Thank you for these photos -- I needed the color therapy too. Love to you both.

thanks for the yummy colors and cheer on a day that started at 3 degrees F and begrudgingly got a little warmer. Emma's orchestra concert this afternoon definitely a cheerful antidote to the weather. xxoo GTH

Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.
