Since after all this time there is no tangible proof it will boil down to whose word is trusted. I thought Ford made a telling point in admitting she was terrified. That had the ring of truth and those listening may, I hope, take it from there.

Was able to watch most of this throughout yesterday, and was unprepared for the intensity of my response, though at one point I was having heart attack symptoms, even though I had been reading the reporting all along. I believe her.

Sorry, that it "thought". Even today I'm in knots.

Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.
