Kia ora Beth...I love the new work space but can empathize with the sense of one last look at the old now empty space. When back in the states I return to the house I grew up in and my sister still lives in and though the memories still live within me I am always surprised at how little emotion I feel there. As if it too has moved on.

Still, you have moved way into the stretch zone from the comfort zone you have had around you for a long and very productive time. That is a difficult process. I send you good thoughts and hugs.

Peaceful Yuletide Wishes my friend. Kia Kaha!

So many feelings as I read this post. And what gorgeous light in your new space. Your work continues to be extraordinary, and so do you. Love to you and Jonathan, as ever.

you're right about the light in that new space! amazing! now that i'm back to visual art, i'm also trying to work in a small L-shaped corner space. it has its limits, of course, but i'm finding it more approachable (less intimidating) than some other spaces i've had. can't wait to see what you create there!

Beth, the red, the light and the larger pieces on the wall ... Beautiful! wishing you much happiness in your new chapter.

Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.
