Good to hear from you again and to see how your painting evolved. Your book Snowy Fields continues to be a source of beauty, inspiration and clarity for me.

I, too, will vote for Harris/Walz and agree that it is not likely that they will bring the real changes that are so sorely needed. Their being elected will only prevent the horrendous changes that another Trump presidency would bring about.

Your posts haven't been showing up on my reading list and so I've had to check your blog every so often to see if you have posted. I think I've just figured out why your posts weren't being brought to my attention.

All the best to you and Jonathan.

Who was Cassandra?

  • In the Iliad, she is described as the loveliest of the daughters of Priam (King of Troy), and gifted with prophecy. The god Apollo loved her, but she spurned him. As a punishment, he decreed that no one would ever believe her. So when she told her fellow Trojans that the Greeks were hiding inside the wooden horse...well, you know what happened.
